Teaching Procedure :
Step I . Greetings
Greetings as usual .
StepⅡ. Lead in
Play a video about “Family” in CCTV . And get the Ss to talk freely to lead in the new lesson .
StepⅢ. Pre-reading .
Show some pictures about family members to the Ss to get them to guess who they are .Help them to learn the calling of family members .
StepⅣ. Presentation .
Step 1. Fast reading .
Give the Ss 3 minutes to read the text fast and get a general idea about the text . While reading, show the recorder and text to help them read.
Then answer two simple questions :
1. How many people in the family ?
2. Who are they ?
Step 2. Reading completely .
Ask the Ss to read the text again carefully and find out the key words and useful expressions in the text .
Then give them two tasks to check their reading .
1. Finish the Reading Comprehension .
2. Write down the words and expressions on the blackboard . Then the teacher explains them to help the Ss master them .

Step 1. Show the family photo in the text to help the Ss to retell the text .

Step 1. The teacher has an activity to ask the Ss to talk about their family freely in groups.
