Step1 Greetings

Greeting as usual

Step2. Lead-in  Listen to song,then show some picture s about weather and the practice.

a.What's the weather like today?

  It’s sunny.

b.How is the weather to day?

  It’s cloudy.

c. What's the weather like today?

   It is rainy.

d.It is fine today,isn't it?

   No,it isn't,it is sonwy.

Step3.While —reading

   Read the text in 5—6 minutes and Get general idea the finish reading comprehension.

1.    Spring is from March to May in my hometown.

2.    The weather is quite cool and windy in spring in my hometown.

3.    Many people like spring because it bring hope .

4.    I often go to the seaside on vocation with my friends in summer.

5.    Autumn is the harvest time in a year.

6.    Farmer are very busy in the fields in autumn.

7.    In winter it snows a lot and we have a lot of interesting sports.

Step 4  Presentation

Read the text again find out keywords and useful expressions about season and weather.

i.Show the Ss a picture and talk about something about (spring)

Help the Ss answer.

ii.Show the Ss a picture and talk about something about summer.

iii.Show the students a picture and talk about something about autumn.

②.How is the weather?

iv.Show the Ss a picture and talk about something about winter.

①.What season is it in the forth picture?

②.How is the weather in your hometown in the winter.

Step 5  Explain the hot words and useful expressions

Step 6  Consolidation

1. Play the tape ,help them to get a clear picture of the whole passage.

2. Let the students retell the text orally(according to the pictures and useful word expressions on the Bb)

3. Summarize the text

Step 7  Homework

1. Talk about “my favorite season”

2. Then write it down in your exercise book.
